Terms of Service

Last updated October 4, 2026.

These terms govern your Horrac account, horrac.com and Ostrel ("the app"), the desktop app we make, formerly called Gecko. Horrac is the trading name of Rikraj Haldar ("Horrac," "we," "us"). You accept these terms when you create your Horrac account, by ticking the box that says so. If you don't agree, don't create an account or use the app.

What the app does

Ostrel is a desktop application that connects to your own YouTube, Twitch, Instagram, and/or TikTok accounts (via each platform's official sign-in) to show you your own analytics, generate content insights, and, where you choose to use it, schedule and publish content to those accounts on your instruction. It is not a fully automated posting tool. Ostrel never publishes anything you haven't specifically selected, captioned, and scheduled yourself.

We may add, change, or discontinue individual features, including a specific platform integration, at any time. For example, if a connected platform changes or withdraws API access. We'll aim to give notice where practical.

YouTube

Ostrel uses YouTube API Services to read your YouTube channel's data and, if you schedule posts, to upload to it. By using Ostrel, you agree to be bound by the YouTube Terms of Service.

Eligibility

You must be at least 18 years old, or the age of majority in your jurisdiction, to use Ostrel, and you must have the legal authority to connect and act on behalf of any account you connect.

Your account, your responsibility

You're responsible for:

  • Complying with each connected platform's own Terms of Service, Community Guidelines, and API usage policies (YouTube/Google, Twitch, Instagram/Meta, TikTok). Connecting an account through Ostrel doesn't exempt you from those.
  • The content, captions, and thumbnails you upload or schedule through Ostrel. You retain full ownership and responsibility for anything you publish through the app, exactly as if you'd published it directly through that platform's own tools.
  • Keeping your device and its access to your accounts secure, and any activity that happens through your connected accounts.

Acceptable use

You must not use Ostrel to: publish content that's unlawful, infringing, or violates a connected platform's policies; operate bot, spam, or fake-engagement accounts; attempt to circumvent, reverse-engineer, or abuse the app or the platforms it connects to; or use Ostrel's AI features to generate content that's illegal or that misrepresents its origin in violation of a connected platform's rules. We may suspend your individual account access immediately, without the notice described under Termination, where we reasonably believe continued access risks Horrac's own standing with a connected platform or exposes us to legal liability.

License to your content

When you upload, select, or schedule content (video, images, captions, thumbnails) through Ostrel, you grant Horrac a limited, non-exclusive, worldwide license to host, store, reproduce, transmit, and process that content solely for the purpose of providing the specific feature you've invoked. That includes staging it for scheduled publishing and, where you use an AI feature, transmitting it to our AI and transcription providers through our relay. Our Privacy Policy names each provider and explains what they receive. This license ends when the content is deleted under our data-deletion practices, and it gives Horrac no right to use your content for any other purpose, including training AI models.

Scheduled publishing

When you schedule content through Ostrel, you're instructing us to publish it on your behalf at the time you specify. We stage the media and caption on our servers so publishing can happen on schedule even if the app is closed. You can cancel a scheduled post any time before it publishes. Once published, removing or editing it is subject to that platform's own tools and policies, not Ostrel's. We are not responsible for a platform's own processing delays, API outages, or content-moderation decisions once content reaches them. Scheduling is provided on a best-efforts basis: we work to publish every scheduled post at the time you choose, but we can't guarantee a post will publish at exactly that time, or at all, for example because of a fault in Ostrel, an expired connection to the platform, or the platform's own posting limits. Check important posts after their scheduled time, and don't rely on Ostrel alone where timing is critical.

Intellectual property

Ostrel's software, branding, and underlying technology remain Horrac's property.

AI-generated content

Channel Reports, Suggestions Chat, Pre-Publish Critique, the Projection Model, Media Kit copy, and Recurring Pattern reports are generated by AI and are not reviewed by a human before being shown to you. Treat them as a starting point for your own judgment, not a guarantee of accuracy, performance, or outcome. You're responsible for reviewing any AI-generated content before publishing it or acting on it.

As between you and Horrac, you own the output Ostrel's AI features generate for you (report text, suggestions, Media Kit copy, and similar), subject to the accuracy disclaimer above and to your own compliance with each connected platform's rules about AI-assisted content.

Estimates and third-party data

Some of what the app shows is an estimate or a judgment rather than a figure a platform reports. These are labeled as such, and are of two kinds:

  • Calculated estimates, such as estimated revenue (off unless you turn it on), are worked out from your real metrics. The app shows how each one is calculated next to the figure. Estimated revenue, for example, is your real views multiplied by a typical earnings rate per 1,000 views for that platform; it is not your actual earnings, which Ostrel can't see.
  • AI assessments, such as a Demand Projection's verdict, a Pre-Publish Critique or a Channel Report, are Ostrel's judgment, based on your data and the research each one describes. They are opinions, not measurements.

Neither kind uses a platform's private data, and neither is a guarantee of earnings or performance. All other figures (subscriber counts, view counts, and so on) are pulled directly from each platform's own API and are only as accurate and current as that platform's own data.

Your Horrac account

To use Ostrel you need a Horrac account, identified by your email address. You sign in with a one-time code sent to that address, or with Google; there is no password. Keep access to that email account secure, because anyone who can read it can sign in to your Horrac account. One person may hold one account; it can be used on any number of your own devices, but it may not be shared with or resold to others.

Plans, fees and credits

Free trial. A new account gets one 14-day free trial of the Starter plan's allowance, starting once the account is created in the Ostrel app, or on its first sign-in to the app if you created it on horrac.com. No payment details are needed. Only one trial is available per person and per device. When the trial ends, the AI features pause until you choose a paid plan; nothing converts to a paid plan by itself.

Subscriptions. Paid plans are monthly or yearly subscriptions, charged in US dollars in advance at the start of each billing period, and they renew automatically until you cancel. Current plans and prices are shown at horrac.com/ostrel/pricing and in the app before you buy.

Yearly plans. A yearly plan is paid once a year, in advance, at the yearly price shown when you buy it, which costs less than twelve monthly payments. It includes the same weekly credit allowance as the monthly plan; credits are not given out as one yearly amount. Before each yearly renewal you will get an email reminder, sent at least 7 days ahead, saying when the renewal happens and how much it will cost, so you have time to cancel. Cancelling stops the next renewal, and your plan keeps working until the end of the year you have paid for.

Who you pay. Checkout is provided by Stripe. Purchases are sold through Link, Stripe's merchant-of-record service, which collects any sales tax or VAT that applies where you live. Link's own terms also apply to your purchase. We never receive or store your full card details.

Credits. Each plan includes a weekly allowance of credits for AI features, as described on the pricing page. Credits refill on a rolling schedule, do not carry over, cannot be transferred and have no cash value. Your allowance is a hard limit: when it is used up, AI features stop until your next refill. Before a larger AI task starts, Ostrel checks that you have enough credits left for what that task usually uses, and doesn't start it if you don't. Because the exact cost is only known as a task runs, a task can occasionally reach the limit partway through and stop there. The weekly Channel Report refresh uses credits like any other AI feature, and waits for your next refill when there are not enough. Other features that run automatically in the background do not use credits but are subject to a fair-use limit so that one account cannot degrade the service for others.

Scheduled posts. Starter, including the free trial, can schedule up to 100 posts a calendar month, all platforms and devices combined. A post counts when you schedule it, and the count resets on the 1st. Regular and Professional have no monthly limit of ours. On every plan, each platform's own posting limits still apply.

Changing plan. You can change plan, or switch between monthly and yearly billing, from Manage billing in the app or on your account page. An upgrade takes effect straight away, with the price adjusted for the rest of the current period. A downgrade takes effect at the start of your next billing period.

Cancelling. You can cancel at any time from Manage billing. Your plan keeps working until the end of the period you have paid for, then stops renewing. We don't charge cancellation fees.

Failed payments. If a renewal payment fails, Stripe will retry it for a limited period. While a payment is outstanding, the AI features and scheduling of new posts are paused; posts you had already scheduled still publish. If payment isn't completed, your subscription ends.

Refunds and your cancellation rights. If you are a consumer in the UK or EU, you have a legal right to cancel a new subscription, monthly or yearly, within 14 days of buying it. By starting a paid plan you ask us to begin providing the service straight away, so if you cancel within those 14 days we will refund what you paid minus a proportionate amount for the service already provided. Email support@horrac.com to do this. Otherwise, payments are not refundable except where the law requires, or where we have charged you in error. None of this affects your statutory rights.

Price changes. We will tell you by email, and in the app, at least 30 days before a price change applies to your subscription, and you can cancel before it takes effect.

No warranty

Ostrel is provided "as is," without warranty of any kind, express or implied, including but not limited to warranties of merchantability, fitness for a particular purpose, and non-infringement. We don't guarantee the app will be uninterrupted or error-free, or that any connected platform's API will remain available or unchanged. This section doesn't exclude or limit any statutory right you have as a consumer that can't lawfully be excluded, including your rights under the UK Consumer Rights Act 2015 regarding digital content and services you have paid for, and your cancellation rights under the Consumer Contracts Regulations 2013.

Limitation of liability

To the maximum extent permitted by law, Horrac is not liable for any indirect, incidental, special, consequential, or punitive damages arising from your use of the app, including loss of data, loss of access to a connected account, a platform's own moderation action against content you published through the app, or reliance on any estimate or AI-generated content the app produces, or a scheduled post that publishes late, incorrectly, or not at all. Subject to the next sentence, our total liability to you for all claims arising from or relating to the app is limited to the greater of £100 or the total amount you paid us for the app in the 12 months before the event giving rise to the claim. Nothing in these terms excludes or limits liability that cannot lawfully be excluded or limited under the laws of England and Wales, including liability for death or personal injury caused by negligence, or for fraud.

Indemnification

You agree to indemnify Horrac against claims arising from your own breach of these terms, your violation of a connected platform's terms, or content you chose to publish through the app, except to the extent the claim was caused by Horrac's own breach of these terms or negligence.

Termination

Except for the immediate individual-account suspension described under Acceptable Use, or where continuing to operate the app becomes unlawful or impossible (for example, a connected platform withdrawing API access), we'll give you reasonable notice before suspending or discontinuing the app for everyone, and where practical we'll let you retrieve or cancel any content you have staged for scheduled publishing before it's affected. You may stop using the app, disconnect all accounts or delete your Horrac account at any time (see our Data Deletion page). Deleting your account cancels any subscription immediately; the remainder of a paid period is not refunded except as described under Plans, fees and credits.

Governing law

These terms are governed by the laws of England and Wales. Any dispute will be subject to the exclusive jurisdiction of the courts of England and Wales, without prejudice to any mandatory consumer-protection rights you have in your own country of residence.

General

These terms, together with our Privacy Policy and Data Deletion page, are the entire agreement between you and Horrac about your Horrac account and your use of Ostrel, and supersede any prior discussions about them. If any part of these terms is found unenforceable, the rest continues to apply. These terms don't create rights for anyone other than you and Horrac, including under the Contracts (Rights of Third Parties) Act 1999. If we don't enforce a term, that's not a waiver of our right to do so later. You may not assign these terms; we may assign them in connection with a merger, acquisition, or sale of assets, provided your rights under this agreement aren't diminished.

Changes to these terms

If these terms change, we'll update the "Last updated" date above. We'll tell you about material changes in the app at least 30 days before they apply, and ask you to accept the new terms before you carry on using Ostrel. If you don't want to accept them, you can cancel and delete your account instead. We'll tell you about price changes by email as well (see "Price changes" above).
