01

Getting started

What do I need to run Ostrel?

A Windows 10 or 11 computer (64-bit), an internet connection, and at least one YouTube, Instagram, TikTok or Twitch account.

How does the free trial work?

You get 14 days of the Starter allowance, starting the first time you sign in to the app. There is no card to enter and nothing turns into a paid plan by itself. There is one free trial per person and one per computer.

Why do I need a Horrac account?

Your account holds your plan and credits, and keeps working across every computer you use Ostrel on. You sign in with an emailed code or with Google; there is no password to remember.

Which kinds of Instagram account work?

Instagram only shares insights with Business and Creator accounts, so Ostrel needs one of those. Switching is free in Instagram's settings.

Can I use Ostrel on more than one computer?

Yes. Sign in with the same Horrac account on each one. Your plan and credits are shared between them.

Credits and plans

See plans
What uses credits?

Ostrel's AI work: chat replies, demand projections, pre-publish critiques, clip suggestions, idea suggestions and the weekly Channel Report refresh. Your first Channel Report, alerts, analytics and scheduling do not use credits. The pricing page has the full list.

When do my credits reset?

Every seven days, counted from when you created your account. There is no daily limit, so you can spend a whole week's credits on upload day if you like. The meter in the app's toolbar and Settings shows the exact reset time, in your own time zone.

What happens when I run out of credits?

Before a bigger task such as a critique or a projection starts, Ostrel checks you have enough credits left for what it usually uses, and tells you if you don't, so you rarely get half a result. Once your credits are used up, AI features wait for your next reset, or you can move to a larger plan and carry on straight away. Now and then a task uses more than usual and stops when it reaches your limit; run it again after the reset.

How do I change or cancel my plan?

Open Settings in the app, or your account page here, and choose Manage billing. Cancelling keeps your plan until the end of the period you paid for.

03

Publishing

Does my computer need to be on for scheduled posts?

No. Once you confirm a schedule, the post is held on our servers and goes out at the right time even if Ostrel is closed.

Why is my TikTok post private?

Until TikTok approves an app for public posting, TikTok itself makes every post from that app visible only to you. That is TikTok's rule; your post is not lost, and you can change its visibility in the TikTok app.

A scheduled post failed. What now?

Ostrel tries again automatically and tells you in the app if it cannot publish. The usual cause is an expired connection; reconnect the platform in Settings and schedule it again.

04

Your data

How we use data
What does Ostrel do with my accounts?

It reads your own numbers so it can show and explain them, and it publishes only what you schedule. How Ostrel uses your data lists every permission and why.

How do I delete everything?

Delete your account from Settings in the app, or from your account page. That cancels any subscription and removes your data from our servers across every device. See data deletion for the other options.

I found a security issue.

Please email support@horrac.com with the details and give us a chance to fix it before sharing it publicly. Good-faith research reported this way is welcome.
