Terms of Service
Last updated: September 3, 2026
These terms govern your use of Gecko ("the app"), published by Rikraj Haldar, trading as Horrac ("we," "us," "Horrac"). By downloading or using the app, you agree to these terms. If you don't agree, don't use the app.
What the app does
Gecko is a desktop application that connects to your own YouTube, Twitch, Instagram, and/or TikTok accounts (via each platform's official sign-in) to show you your own analytics, generate content insights, and, where you choose to use it, schedule and publish content to those accounts on your instruction. It is not a fully automated posting tool. Gecko never publishes anything you haven't specifically selected, captioned, and scheduled yourself.
We may add, change, or discontinue individual features, including a specific platform integration, at any time. For example, if a connected platform changes or withdraws API access. We'll aim to give notice where practical.
Eligibility
You must be at least 18 years old, or the age of majority in your jurisdiction, to use Gecko, and you must have the legal authority to connect and act on behalf of any account you connect.
Your account, your responsibility
You're responsible for:
- Complying with each connected platform's own Terms of Service, Community Guidelines, and API usage policies (YouTube/Google, Twitch, Instagram/Meta, TikTok). Connecting an account through Gecko doesn't exempt you from those.
- The content, captions, and thumbnails you upload or schedule through Gecko. You retain full ownership and responsibility for anything you publish through the app, exactly as if you'd published it directly through that platform's own tools.
- Keeping your device and its access to your accounts secure, and any activity that happens through your connected accounts.
Acceptable use
You must not use Gecko to: publish content that's unlawful, infringing, or violates a connected platform's policies; operate bot, spam, or fake-engagement accounts; attempt to circumvent, reverse-engineer, or abuse the app or the platforms it connects to; or use Gecko's AI features to generate content that's illegal or that misrepresents its origin in violation of a connected platform's rules. We may suspend your individual account access immediately, without the notice described under Termination, where we reasonably believe continued access risks Horrac's own standing with a connected platform or exposes us to legal liability.
License to your content
When you upload, select, or schedule content (video, images, captions, thumbnails) through Gecko, you grant Horrac a limited, non-exclusive, worldwide license to host, store, reproduce, transmit, and process that content solely for the purpose of providing the specific feature you've invoked. That includes staging it for scheduled publishing and, where you use an AI feature, transmitting it to Google's Gemini API, Anthropic's Claude API, or our transcription provider through our relay, as described in our Privacy Policy. This license ends when the content is deleted under our data-deletion practices, and it gives Horrac no right to use your content for any other purpose, including training AI models.
Scheduled publishing
When you schedule content through Gecko, you're instructing us to publish it on your behalf at the time you specify. We stage the media and caption on our servers so publishing can happen on schedule even if the app is closed. You can cancel a scheduled post any time before it publishes. Once published, removing or editing it is subject to that platform's own tools and policies, not Gecko's. We are not responsible for a platform's own processing delays, API outages, or content-moderation decisions once content reaches them.
Intellectual property
Gecko's software, branding, and underlying technology remain Horrac's property.
AI-generated content
Channel Reports, Suggestions Chat, Pre-Publish Critique, the Prediction Model, Media Kit copy, and Recurring Pattern reports are generated by AI and are not reviewed by a human before being shown to you. Treat them as a starting point for your own judgment, not a guarantee of accuracy, performance, or outcome. You're responsible for reviewing any AI-generated content before publishing it or acting on it.
As between you and Horrac, you own the output Gecko's AI features generate for you (report text, suggestions, Media Kit copy, and similar), subject to the accuracy disclaimer above and to your own compliance with each connected platform's rules about AI-assisted content.
Estimates and third-party data
Where the app shows an estimated figure (for example, estimated ad revenue, or a demand-prediction score), it is clearly labeled as an estimate, computed from your real fetched metrics using a disclosed, published formula. It is never a number obtained from a platform's private data, and it is not a guarantee of actual earnings or performance. All other figures (subscriber counts, view counts, and so on) are pulled directly from each platform's own API and are only as accurate and current as that platform's own data.
Fees
Gecko is currently offered free of charge during this pre-launch phase. If we introduce paid plans in the future, we'll describe pricing clearly before you're ever charged, and continued free use will not silently convert into a paid subscription without your explicit action.
No warranty
Gecko is provided "as is," without warranty of any kind, express or implied, including but not limited to warranties of merchantability, fitness for a particular purpose, and non-infringement. We don't guarantee the app will be uninterrupted or error-free, or that any connected platform's API will remain available or unchanged. This section doesn't exclude or limit any statutory right you have as a consumer that can't lawfully be excluded, including, once we introduce a paid plan, your rights under the UK Consumer Rights Act 2015 regarding the quality of digital content you've paid for, and your cancellation rights under the Consumer Contracts Regulations 2013.
Limitation of liability
To the maximum extent permitted by law, Horrac is not liable for any indirect, incidental, special, consequential, or punitive damages arising from your use of the app, including loss of data, loss of access to a connected account, a platform's own moderation action against content you published through the app, or reliance on any estimate or AI-generated content the app produces. Nothing in these terms excludes or limits liability that cannot lawfully be excluded or limited under the laws of England and Wales, including liability for death or personal injury caused by negligence, or for fraud.
Indemnification
You agree to indemnify Horrac against claims arising from your own breach of these terms, your violation of a connected platform's terms, or content you chose to publish through the app, except to the extent the claim was caused by Horrac's own breach of these terms or negligence.
Termination
Except for the immediate individual-account suspension described under Acceptable Use, or where continuing to operate the app becomes unlawful or impossible (for example, a connected platform withdrawing API access), we'll give you reasonable notice before suspending or discontinuing the app for everyone, and where practical we'll let you retrieve or cancel any content you have staged for scheduled publishing before it's affected. You may stop using the app and disconnect all accounts at any time (see our Data Deletion page).
Governing law
These terms are governed by the laws of England and Wales. Any dispute will be subject to the exclusive jurisdiction of the courts of England and Wales, without prejudice to any mandatory consumer-protection rights you have in your own country of residence.
General
These terms, together with our Privacy Policy and Data Deletion page, are the entire agreement between you and Horrac about your use of Gecko, and supersede any prior discussions about it. If any part of these terms is found unenforceable, the rest continues to apply. These terms don't create rights for anyone other than you and Horrac, including under the Contracts (Rights of Third Parties) Act 1999. If we don't enforce a term, that's not a waiver of our right to do so later. You may not assign these terms; we may assign them in connection with a merger, acquisition, or sale of assets, provided your rights under this agreement aren't diminished.
Changes to these terms
If these terms change, we'll update the "Last updated" date above. Material changes will be noted in the app's release notes. Continued use of the app after a change means you accept the updated terms.
